A team of scientists made a really sensational discovery.  It turns out that there is a product that can be called the "killer" of COVID-19. It copes 97% of the virus and does it in no more than five minutes.

Certain plant-based foods are particularly effective in inhibiting the activity of the coronavirus in the human body. This has been proven by German scientists from the Institute of Molecular Virology at the Medical Center of the University of Ulm.

Scientists mix natural foods with viruses at room temperature. After a while, they investigate how COVID-19 behaves in this situation. It turns out that aronia juice in just five minutes destroys up to 97% of the coronavirus in the body.

Pomegranate juice also has a strong antiviral effect. Merely gargling can kill up to 80% of COVID-19 pathogens. According to the researchers, this is due to the acidic environment and plant polyphenols that are harmful to the virus.

The research team found that respiratory viruses initially infect the nasopharynx and oropharynx, where they worsen, cause symptoms and can also be passed on to new hosts.

Preventing the initial infection or lowering viral load during infection can alleviate symptoms; prevent spreading to the lower respiratory tract or transfer to another person.

The research team analyzed the potential of herbal products to inactivate SARS-CoV-2 and the influenza virus. The team found that chokeberry juice (Aronia melanocarpa), pomegranate juice (Punica granatum) and green tea (Camellia sinensis) had virucidal effects against both viruses, suggesting that the mouthwash may reduce the oral virus load by reducing thus transmitting the virus. By contrast, elderberry juice did not affect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in any way.
